How it works - Baby Birth Weight Predictor

Baby Birth Weight uses a method which generated a standard growth value called the estimated fetal weight based on the fundal height.

The individualised weight is based on a standard growth curve which is then adjusted for physiological values. This is therefore more relevant to an individual woman and her baby rather than reading off a standard chart.

This app is intended for entertainment purposes and the result may be inaccurate by ten percent or more.

Is my baby too big?

The calculations used by baby birth weight may be inaccurate by ten percent or more. Measurement of the fundal height can be subject to variation dependent on the observer, so it is always worth double checking.

Most women grow a baby the right size for them. The result will be affected if you have increased amniotic fluid or multiple pregnancy. If you still have concerns please speak to your health care professional.
